Bruce Laird and Cecil Clarkson, two of the boys who entered the Training College last week, were successful in passing in four groups for the teachers’ “D” certificate.

At Monday’s meeting of the Borough Council, the Mayor reported that Cr Brownlee, who has been indisposed for some weeks* 3V--1S Improving slowly- He moved that Cr Brownlee be granted another month’s leave of absence. Cr Armstrong moved 'that that the Council’s sympathy be extended to their colleague with a wish for a speedy recovery. Both reseolutions were carried.
