Mr Allan Fletcher, headmaster of the Tuhikaramea, Hamilton, School, and late master of the Pukekohe Technical School, was here on a visit during the week-end. The consulting engineer to the Pukekohe Borough, Mr D. W. McArthur, who attended the ordinary meeting of the Borough Council on Monday, left for Auckland on Tuesday at mid-day. Upon arrival in Auckland he was attacked with paralytic stroke . and rendered unconscious. Up to the time of going to press he had not regained consciousness, and si his condition is causing • his relatives and friends grave anxiety. Mr J., FI. McArthur, the Franklin County Engineer, is his son. A report of the opening ceremony in connection with the Tuakau School will appear on Tuesday.
