A complaint was received at Monday’s meeting of the Borough Council hat a certain firm of. merchant providers and produce merchants, - which deals in potatoes had dumped a cargo of rotten potatoes at 'the rubbish tipj. It was pointed out that these potatoes made excellent food f° r rats. The Mayor: What is the good of the foreman laying poison 'to destroy rats if persons are going 'to deliberately deposit food for them. The foreman was instructed to inspect the tip to see if .the complaint was justified, and if so the firm is to receive notice to remove the rotten potatoes within 24 hours.
