PAERATA HALL.
(To the Editor)
Sir,—l would like to ask the Pae- ■ ra’ta Social’ Committee what has become of the money over from the H social'held at Paerata. I was always of the opinion that these socials were H cot up to rise funds for a hall. I H have heard of money borrowed and H of different ones subscribing towards H the hall, but I have heard nothing H mentioned of the money raised from these socials. I am certain the zes given .do not take up the money, then what has become of it. I hear the committee went in free. this cant be /true, when you were anxious to raise funds for a hall.— I am, etb., ‘ W.B. H

During the past six months ou r butter has been steadily disposed of but as yet no one seems to know definitely the price we are going to receive for it. If the farmers wish to obtain something like a world parity price for their butter, they will have to take the same interest in seeing that theirs is put on the world’s markets in a businesslike manner, as they do in producing it.—l am ,etc.,
