STRAND THEARTE. SATURDAY. A flying leap through a smallpaned window to the ground ten feet below is one of the hairi-raising situnts performed by Tom Mix, the Fox daredevil cowboy star,in “The Untarnd,” booked for showing at the Strand Theatre to-morrow (Saturday) night It contains a wealth of thrilling situations which lend themselves admirably to Mix’s style of daring. A most unusual and fascinating eelement underlying the story is the strange companionship of a man and two animals —a demoniacal horsee and a devil of a dog—who seem to have 1 supernatural instincts that diraw them apai't from others of jtheir kind and cause them to seek the companionship of one another, looking always to the man as their ileader Much has been made ?n the story of this weird trinity of kindred spirits. A cast of noted players was selected to support Mix- Appealing little Pauline Starke, plays opposite the star as Kate Cumberland, the Western cattleman’s daughter. Geo. Seigmann, probably the best known portrayer of villain parts on the screen, is the outlaw leader.
