TUAKAU’S JERRY BUILDING.

(To the Editor)

Sir, —While I was in the Tuakau pub. on Wednesday I heard heaps of warm arguments about a couple of small shops being built near by, and as I am a builder I went and had a look at them,. I am glad my name is not joined with them, either as builder .or owner, for I would change it if it was,. They do not beautify the main street of t-he town. F ancy them being built next the Hamilton Post Office, for instance. It would upset you, to try. The Tuakau people are easily sat on for surd, to allow such a thing in their main street. I neverf saw 1 the like of the timber and appearance. I felt forced to write this as I am a practical builder, and especially as a good-looking cattle-dealer in the pub was so bitter and nasty about the thing being exposed,—l am, etc,, J.R.
