BOWLING GREEN WATER SUPPLY.
GOOD FLOW SECURED. WIND MILL TO BE ERECTED. jrtln accoudance with a resolution -passed at a meeting of the Manurewa Town Board in January, steps were aken to engage a contractor to bore for water at the Bowling green, When (the operations were commenced little time was lost, and after boring about 80 feet into the earth, a good Row of water was secured. Now that the water supply ifc assured) the necessary wind mill and tanks will be erecsted as soon as possible.l It is certainly better late than never, but in this case it appears that the supplv of water has been secured a little on the late side. The water should have been in readiness from the very outset. and if this had been the case the bawling green would no doubt, have been in a fit condition to play on. As it is, the season is far advanced, and it is almost an impossibility to play on it this summer. Now that the water is on hand the green can be put in order and can be in readiness for winter play. It will (take some time to work the green up to perfection since it has been sadly neglected ince it was constructed.
