Papakura Tennis Club’s “A” team registered its first win -this season on Saturday when playing against Manurewa, in the senior championship under the auspices of Manukau Lawn Tennis Results are, Papakura names mentioned first: Men’s Doubles.—sA. L. Cooper and S. Wood beat Basi Wood an,d T. J. Corin 4—6, 6—3, 6 G. and F. Henderson beat Johnston and White 3—6, 6—2, 7—5. G. Hutchinson and J. R. Wilson beat Warlish and Regler 6 —4, I—6, 6—31 Ladies’ Doubles. —Misses L„ Wilson and Woollams beat Miss Lupton and Mrs Warlish 6—3, 6—4. Misses Cooper and Matheson beat Misses Bond and Grey 6—o, 6—3.. Misses Wilson and Black won by default. Combined Doubles (best of 17 games.) —Miss I-.. Wilson and A. L. Cooper beat Miss Lupton and Basil Wood 9—3. Miss Woollams and S. Wood lost to Miss Warlish and Com5 —9. Miss Cooper and G. Henderson lust to Miss Bond and Johnston B—9. Miss Matheson and F. Henderson lost to Miss Grey and White 7—9. Miss Jessie Wilson and G. Hutchinson, and Miss Black and J. R. Wilson won by default.
