Sir James Allen (says the Post’s London correspondent) was asked by the New Zealand Ministry of Health to make inquiries with regard to M. Spahlinger’s treatment of tuberculosis. He was unable to obtain much satisfaction from the authorities in London but while in Geneva he paid a visit to theSpahlinger Institute, which has been establishment for the production of the serum and vaccine which play the principal part in this particular treatment. It is claimed that the resum, which takes five years to produce, is capable of curing the disease, and the vaccine, which takes six months to make, is claimed to be a prevention of tuberculosis if applied in the same way as lmyph for smallpox. Sir James has sent out a full report concerning his investigations in Geneva, and has also j forwarded samples of the vaccine and the serum.
