WATER SUPPLY AT PAERATA.

At Thursday’s meeting of the Franklin County Council, the District Engineer of the Public Works Department wrote stating that H t was proposed to install a ram below the Falls, adjacent to the Council’s quarry at Paeralta, for the purpose; of a water supply at Paenata station, for the Waiuku branch railway line. He applied for the right of access to and along a proposed pipe line purposes of maintenance, and he required to know on what terms the Council would acquiesce,. The application was granted on condition the Council could obtain sufficient water for its engines when working at the quarry.
