OBNOXIOUS ODOUR.
Lt 'MoncDay’s meeting of the Borrh Council, a petition signed by Mr ’hard' Eckley and 23 others, raterers and ’residents of the Borough, w the Council’s attention to the at nuisance caused by the iorm- . works in their locality. They nted out that when the di'gesjter s,open the obnoxious odour penetes to every room of dwelling lS es in whichever direction the id was blowing. The nuisance was iply IntolerafS, and they requestthe Council to'take stpes to have 1 nuisance _ n the petitioners’ opinion -nc nure works should be removed fur!r from the populated area, also uiJUie public roads—lt was statthe* works were situated withthe Borough. On the motion of the .yor, the town clerk was .instructed write to the proprietors of the nure works informing them of 2 petition, and also they be asked, lat they proposed! to do in conitipn with the master.. Their atition is to he called to the by-law aling with such.affairs.
