The Waikikii Hawaiiane,, a company of talented instrumentalists, vocalists, (and dancers, appeared at the Premie- Hall, Pukekohe, on Friday. The programme opened with tropical life, depicting the Hawaiian nativess’ surroundings, customs, makng poii and brewing “kava,” the native beer. The famous “Luau Hula,” was danced by Miss Lilliio Kalani, a clever little Hawaiian lady, who brought the house down. She was called on for several encores. Keoke Greig renders some of the sweetest music one could wish to hear on a Hawaiian steel guitar. His rendition of “Coming Home,” “Home, Sweet Home,” “The Perfect Day,” and others was superb. Songs are rendered by Misses Leata, T. Greig and Lilliokalani. Among the Songs are “Egyptian Eyes,” Two,, Three Four,” “Murry Moon,” and “Mammy O’ Mine.” ‘ The company appeart? at Tuakau on Friday, December 9th.
