THURSDAY’S SITTING. TROUBLE ON A TRAIN. Leonard C. McEwin pleaded guilty to a charge that on November 15th, between Paerata and Pukekpbe, he behaved .in a violent manner, causing annoyance to others in (the railway carriage on the Auckland-FranUton Ifraiin. A fine of £2 and costs was imposed. Similar charges against two other persons will be dealt with next Court day. (Before Mr E. W. Burton, S.M.) BOROUGH BY-LAWS BROKEN. WANDERING HORSES. J. Henrv, Regina, d Coote, and Puh! Williams were each charged with permitting their horses to wander in the Borough of Pukekohe, contrary to the Borough by-laws. Defendants who did nqt appear, were each convicted and fined 10s, and ordered to pay 7s Court costs. MISSING NUMBER PLATE. Harry Vernon Messant pleaded guilty to a charge of riding a motto r cycle" in King Street without a number plate—a breach of the Motor Regulations Act. A fine of 10s and 7s costs was inflicted. 1 \ AN UNREGISTERED FIREARM. Caleb George Diven, of Onewhero, was charged with having in his possession a jshot gun for more than one month without having same registered. A plea of guilty was entered, the excuse being that he visited Tuakau to register the weapon but could not find the police. Fined £1 and ordered to pay 17s Couqt costs.
