MARKET REPORT. Messrs Brassey and Co.report that at their usual weekly sale on Friday last pigs were in good demand. Weaners 20s, slips 355. Poultry 3s 9d to 5s 6d, chickens 2s Id to 2s 3d, ducks >4s 6d. ' Rimu fencing posts Is each. Sundries in yard, top prices. Vegetables, market rates. Cauliflowers 9d to Is each cabbages 3s to 4s dozen, Southern potatoes (prime) 6s 6d to 7s cwt, new potatoes Id to 2d lb. Furniture in good demand, fair prices.

The Franklin Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., Ltd., lleport : At our usual weekly sale on Friday we had a full yarding of oigs with prices about the same as last week. Weaners (small!) 8s to 10s, good weaners 14s to 175,, slips 20s to 225, stores 22s‘ 6d to 265. At the mart poultry was penned short of dtemand. All lines entered sold at good prices. Hens (small) 3s 6d, better 3s 9d (to 5s 6d, roosters 4s to 5s 6d chickens 10R. Now is the time to cull your flocks).

Produce was entered in average entries. New potatoes sold' at 1-ls 6d to 15s cwt; cabbage 2s to 3s dozen ; cauliflowers 2s [to 5s dozen; peas 2s Gd peck; rhubarb 10s dozen; earrots Is dozen bundles. Cabbage plants hard to quit. Hams and shoulders Is 3d lb ; bags 2s 6d dozen. Furniture and sundries at satisfactory prices.
