Regarding the • representations made to ( the Minister of Agriculture by the Manukau County Councl, urgschool or college >at the Ruakura Farm of Instruction on /the lines outlined in tht report on agricultural education as submitted by the Auckand Education Board, the Minister of Agriculfcur (Hon. W. Nosworthy) wrote at Tuesday’s meeting cf the Council stating that it was his intention tha*t the Department of Agriculture should extend its educational work, and in doing so full consideration would be- given to the proposal outlined by teh Education Board. At preserit the extreme stringency of finance could not, however. be ignored in this direction, and it was fully realised that money intelligently expended in agricultural advancement would be money well spent.
