FIRE BRIGADE CONTESTS.
On Saturday the ideal Fire Brigade held !its annual competitions. The weather was ideal, and keen competition marked each event. A feature of thd competitions this year was the teams’ work, in which the emmbers took great interest. The events were controlled by the following officias : Judges, Messrs Wyatt and Malcolmson ; starter, Mr C. Miller, time-keepers, Messrs Dean and Mahoney. Results :• One-man Dressing, “Gilberd Memorial. —Sec. Rollinson, first, 92 4-5 sees; Fireman Watson, second, 97 2.5 th sgcs. * ; One-man Championship, “Stembridge Cup”.—foreman Adams, first, 64 secs ; Fireman Watson, second, 65 4-sth secs. Two-men Carry, Dressing.—Watson and Adolph, first, 31 3-sth secs; L. Brown and Pierce, second:, 33 secs. Three-men Carry, Dressing.—Rollinson, Adolph and Barber, first, 73 3-sth secs ; Brown, Brown and Pierce, second, 77secs. Five-men Carry, Dressing.— Captain Brown,, Brown. Adolph, Pierce and Barber first, 35 3-s th secs.
