HANDICAP SNOOKER TOURNAMENT.

WON BY DAVID BLAKE.

The final of the Handicap Snooker Tournament., promoted by Mr G. H. Armstrong, was played- in Arm* strong’s saloon on Thursday evening between David Blake (receive 10) and' Harold Bilkey (receive 40). After a keen game Blake won. There were' 66 competitors in the tournament. At the conclusion of the maitch, MiJames Roulston, on Mr Armstrong’sbehalf, presented the prizes, and in' ? doing so congratulated the winner. The following #cere the prize winine rs First in )the tournament, D. Blake, who received a handsome gold medal; H, Bilkey, runner-up, received a trophy valued at £1 Is ; L. Short, who compiled the highest break (24), was the recipient of a trophy valued at 15s. Mr Roulston also presented <the prizes competed’ for in the championship Snooker Tournament, held some time ago. This was won by H, V. Gribble, who received a- billiard cue in case, donated by Messrs Barton, McGill and Co. The runner-up, Mr O, B. Clarke, received a trophy valued at £1 10s ; F. Duncan, who compiled the highest break (28) in the championship tourney, obtained ar‘ trophy valued at 15s.
