OBITUARY.

MR A. E. SHEA. Another of the old settlers has passed away in the person of Albert Edward (Ned) Shea, at the age of 82 years. Mr Shea came oult from Tipperary, -Ireland, in the ship “Fernglen” 46 years ago, and went straight to Whangarata, where his sistetV Mrs McKean, was then resident. He took up a farm nearby and lived there for 22 years, when he sold out and 1 went to live at Te Mata, in the Kawhia district, where he worked on his farm till nearly the time of his death., He had been ill for about seven weeks,, and taking a worse turn on Friday last, was removed' /to the Waikato (Hamilton) Hospital, where he passed away on Sunday morning. He was buried at Tuakau Cemetery on Tuesday, where he had previously buried three daughters and a son. He was one of the first supporters of the present Church of England at Tuakau. He married Miss Alma Holland 42 years ago, whom he leaves as his widow. He also leaves five sons, two daughters, and six grandchildren to mourn their loss.

MR R, REID. The death occurred at the Waikato Hospital on Friday last of a wellknown and highly respected’ former resident of Tuakau in the person of Mr Robert Reid, better known to the old identities as “Bob” Reid. We understand that for over 50 years deceased was a resided of xuakau. Fuller particulars will appear in a future issue.
