ST. JAMES’ FLOWER SHOW.
SECRETARY’S REPORT. The eighth annual Spring Flower Show (St. James’ Presbyterian Church) was held in the Winter Show sheds on the 16th ;and 17th September, 1921- This is [the first time it has moved so far out of the street, and the move was a great success. Owing to the fad; ths|t it was held on a Friday and Saturday, the attendance was much better than in former years. The quality and number of exhibits was up to former years We are indebted to Messrs Bull, Mariner, Brett and J, Collend for sending exhibitions of flowers. Two football matches on the Show ground on Saturday afternoon attracted a good crowd, and we are indebted to the Hamilton teams for visiting us and giving us such a good exhibition. We are also indebted to the Pukekohe teams for their help, and to the Union Secretary (Mr F. H. Hewi.tt) for the trouble he took in connection with the matches. In conclusion, we wish to thank the ladies and gentlemen who 'assisted in va'rious ways to make the Show a success. We are also indebted to the Pukekohe Municipal Band, Mrs Spence, and others who helped with music and amusement.
