PARK BEAUTIFYING.

A PAPAKURA PROPOSAL.

The matter of beautifying the park at Papakura was brought up at last meeting of the Papakura Town Board p v ]y[ r T. D. Campbell. He pointed oi>t that a corner of the park could bo fenced off and cleared, so that people could plcint 3* tree in ixiemoiy of some noted citizen, or a soldier who made the supreme sacrifice at the Great War. Not only would it serve to perpetuate the memory of some relative, but it would be the means of beautifying the park., Members thought the idea a suitable one, and Messrs Campbell, Wilson, Parker, Weir, Beams and the chairman were appointed a subcommittee to go into the matter, collect data, and submit a yeport and plan at next meeting of the Board.
