PRIZE ESSAYS.

COMPETITION FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN.

Two handsome books, one for boys and one for girls, will be given by the Times for the two best essays on “New Zealand’s Debt to the Navy in the Great War.” Essays must be written by bona-fide pupils of the primary schools in the Franklin, Manukau and Raglan Counties. They must not exceed 350 words in length, be written only on one side of the paper, and. the full name and address of (the writer must be given, together with the name of the school, and must be posted to Mr Henry Wily, lat Mauku, not later (than October 15th. The names of the winners will be published on 21st October.
