A Dakota paper makes amends^ We wish to apologise to Mrs Orville Overholt. In our paper last week we had as a headline: “Mrs Overholt’s Big Feet.” The word we ought to have used is a French word pronounced the same way, but spelled “fete.” It means a celebration, and is considered a very tony word. During the winter months tnere hot certainly been some difference ot opinion expressed at the various dances as to the best waltzers in the Franklin district. An opportunity of putting the issue beyond doubt is afforded aspirants at Tuakau on Friday next, September 30th, when a waltzing competition will be held in connection with a social and dance, in aid of St. Andrews’ Church Fund. Handsome prizes will be awarded the winners.
