STRAhiD THEATRE. TO-NIGHT—TUESDAY. The latest Goldwyn picture, “lord and Lady Algy,” in which smiling Tom Moore is starred, will be shown at the Strand Theatre to-night. An unusally capable cast has been selected to support the star, the leading feminine role being assumed by Naomi Childers. Miss Childers, wfiowas voted the most beautiful screen actress in Japan, is perfectly cast as the stately wife of the young ijord Algy, whose love for horse racing brings about his financial ruin. She is an actress who knows the value of restraint, and in the role of a titled Englishwoman reveals the cold ex-, terior which covers but cannot quits conceal a warm nature. Frank Leigh as Lord Algy’s scalawag brother, plays the part in a truly vicious manner, while William Bueress as 73arbazon Tudlway, the millionaire soap manufacturer, evokes round • fter round of laughter with every appearance he makes. Mabel Baltin. as the young beautiful wilfe of the soap king, looks beautiful and acts her role winsomely. The supports are good.
