PATUMAHOE POTATOES.

Patumahoe is following in the footsteps that have lr.ade Pukekohe rich and prosperous —the potato track. Like Pukekche, Patumahoe has, tor its centre, the famous Hill of the Maoris, with rich volcanic soil, practically immune from frost, whereon potatoes can be grown all the year round. The first consignments for Auckland and Wellington from Mem-brv-of the Hill, were dispatched last* week, while the crops of Mr Byrnes and other growers give every promise of an early and bounteous yield.
