TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL ELECTION.
The election of the Board of Managers to control the destinies oi the Pukekohe Technical High School is at hand. Twelve managers, including a woman, are required, namely: Two to represent the Auckland Education Board, two the local employers, two the local employees, “two the local authorities, three the parents of the pupils attending the school, and one the' School Committees within a radius of five miles of the school. The school is only in its infancy and there is a considerable amount of work to be done yet to bring it up to the status aimed at. Able brained representatives, with a wide experience in educational matters are required and the electors have the opportunity to elect fully qualified persons to the Board. They should exercise their franchise to the best advantage, elect the most competent men and, last but not least, sentiment should not be allowed to interfere .with an elector’s conviction. Meetings of employers, employees and members of school committees will be held to-night, and of the local authorities on "September 8. Nominations for parents’ representatives close on September 6, at noon.
