PRESENTATIONS.
mn W. E. GUNDY farewelled. At the annual meeting- oi St. James’ Church parishioners, opportunity was taken during an interval in the proceedings to bid farewell to Mr W. E. Gundv, who has been transferred to the post office staff at Tauranga, and to make a presentation in recognition of his valuable services -to the church. Rev. S. Nixon, in presenting Mr Gundy with a beautiful solid leather suit case, eulogised the work accomplished by the recipient during his connection with the church. His departure from Pukekohe would be a distinct loss, particularly to the church. Mr Gundy was loyal and conscientious, and if he undertook anything he would see it through. He also referred to the good work done by Mrs Gundy for the Ladies’ Guild and the shows. She was always a consistent and hard worker. He then presented Mr Gundy with the suitcase as a mark of esteem in which he was held. He wished the recipient, his wife and family success in. the future. Mr Gundy suitably replied. FO OTB A LEERS' PR ES ENT AT lON. A presentation of a case of pipes and tobacco pouch to Mr A. L. Middlemiss, who was secretary of the Pukekohe Football Club, and who is leaving Pukekohe, was made by the president of the club (Mr E. HKeating) at the footballers’ annual bail on Wednesday night, in recognition of his services. Mr Keating eulogised the work done by Mr Middle miss and the recipient suitably replied. Mr R. Fulton, who has been an ai dent supporter of the junior fifteen during the last three years, was presented with a set of military hair brushes by the team as a touen of esteem in which he was held by the juniors. He suitably replied.
