ENTERTAINMENTS.

THE CHERXIAVSKY CONCERTS. The Cherniavsky trio will give a special concert in the Strand Theatre, Pukekohe, to-morrow (Wednesday) evening under the direction of J. and N. Tait, Since their first tour of New Zealand over 12 years ago the famous musicians have travelled the world, and thlr name is known in every English-speaking- country. Necessarily, with the passing of the years, the art of the trio has malureed, and their sound and finished musicianship is now winning for them a merited place in the front ranks of the great contemporary Russian School. The box plan is at Mr K. L. Cannel’s, the Bookery. STRAND THEATRE, TO-NIGHT (TUESDAY). . Q “THE MARRIAGE OF WILLIAM ASHE,” An excellent programme from the world’s leading studios will be presented at the Strand Theatre tonight. The star attraction is a brilliant social satire from Mrs Humphrey Ward’s famous novel, “The Marriage of William Ashe,” featuring that clever and bewitching actress, May Allison, in chief role. It is a Metro special production, and this alone should be sufficient guarantee of the class of picture to be unspooled. The picture is good and is supported by a number of lesser lights. Do not miss this programme, iti s said to be good.
