FOOTBALLERS’ BALL.

AS3 UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS. The. Pukekohe Football Club’s annual plain ancl fancy dress ball was held in the Premier Hall .on Wednesday and was an unqualified success from every point of view. In spite of the numerous counter attractions and threatening weather, there was a large attendance, about 120 couples occupying the dancing arena. The attendance included visitors from all parts cf the district and proved that the footballers’ ball is a very popular affair —in fact the most popular # event cf the year. The hall was decorated with bunting, and with the fancy and elaborate bail dresses a brilliant spectacle was presented. The floor was not in its best condition, the dust proving an annoyance throughout he evening. The arrangemens were complete and the function was one of the most sunecessful yet held. The committee worked assiduously throughout and left no stone unturned to make the evening an enjoyable one for patrons. Musi: was supplied by Walker’s 0 Orchestra, while extras were played by Misses Duncan and Fulton and Mr and Mrs Harriman. Supper was banded round and duly appreciated.
