JUNIOR FOOTBALL.

(To the Editor.) Although I do not wish to keep up the correspondence under the head- “ Junior Football,” I feel I must "do so in justification to our team. Although I do not like being personal, under the circumstances I am going to publish the names of a few mem--bers :f the Tuakau team whom we played against. J. Irving, a Tuakau junior, weighing, I suppose, 12st.; Parsons, an Onewhero junior; Cathcart, a Tuakau junior; Somerville, captain of the Tuakau juniors. The name of the left wing threequarter, who won the first game for Tuakau against the Pukekohe High School. I am unable to ascertain. There is no such player as “Lofty” Wright in our team. Ralph Wright weighs just over IOSt when stripped.-: In the team we played at Tuakau there were only two lads who would weight 7st or so, ar.d I absolutely deny that any lad 4st 101 b was in that team. If Mr Graham wishes to publish weights, why does he not publish the correct ~ weights of the whole team and not beat about the bush. Nobody told Mr- Graham to ask the Tuakau 'team to visit Pukekohe, but we (the team) asked the Tuakau team if they could come and they informed us during the week that .they would not be coming. By Mr Graham’s letter it would appear he has mistaken or overlooked some of my remarks, but as if would only be using the space of a progressive paper unnecessarily, I will* refrain from 'repeating them. .Under the circumstances I don’t know why Mr Graham wanted to start this argument at all, unless it was to try and make out that a iteam of “Lofty” Wright’s cauld not beat a team of “4st 101 b Kewishes.” T will, therefore, leave the public to decide the whole affair *o themselves, after having remarked that our team also had several lads like Joe Wyatt, weighing 7st and under.l am, etc. ONE OF THE FIFTEEN.
