The military officers in Palmerston North and other areas in New Zealand are not now distinguishable from ordinary civilians, excepting at parades. They have' discarded their uniforms, and are to be found at tlieir offices in mufti. There is, therefore, no outward appearance of the existence of a imlitary system.
