At Monday night’s meeting of the Bc-rough (Council, a motion of sympathy with Cr G. H. and Mrs Armstrong, in the death of Mr Frederick Reeves-, Mrs Armstrong’s father, was carried in silence, councillors standing. ‘

Mrs Arthur Clark, who has been an inmate of the Auckland Hospital since March undergoing several serious operations, is now in the convalescent stage. Her many friends will be pleased to learn of her good recovery. It is expected she will be well enough to be able to return tb her home early in August.
