ST. JAMES’ FLOWED SHOW.

For the last seven years St. James’ Presbyterian Church has run a Daffodil Show. This show has been growing in extent from year to year, until at the present moment it is looked forward to by all lovers of flowers as an annual fixture.

A meeting of the committee was held on Tuesday, July 5, at 8 p.m., and it was decided to hold the show this year and, if possible, to hold it in the Winter Show buildings. The date of the show is on Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17.

The following officers were elected: Patron, His Worship the Mayor (Mr John Routly); president, Rev. Nixon; vice-presidents, Messrs Crosbie, G. Blake, EL Allan, Waters, G. Ingram, J. Adame; treasurer, Mr H, Littlejohn; secretary, Mr D. R. Hamilton. The following were elected members of the General Committee with power to add:—Mesdames Nixon, Stuart, Gill, Crosbie, G. Beale, Jones, Ward, E’east, Dave Roulston, Campbell, Ruebe, E, Appleby, D. R.
