CHURCH OF ENGLAND.

NEW SITE AT PAPATGETGE.

AREA OF ONE AND A-HALF

ACRES

Sections 12 and 13 in the Cavruth Estate,. Papatoetoe, have been purchased by the Church of England to provide a site for a new church in the district. The sections mentioned are in a good position fronting on Station Road and have a total area of a little less than 1% acres.. It is intended that the present, site will be sold and the hall on it moved to the new site. The residence of the vicar, now situated in Wentworth Avenue, off Kolmar Road, will also be sold. The receipts from the sales will be concentrated upon the new site, where a vicarage will shortly be built, and, as the increasing requirements of the parish demand, a new church will be erected. Nothing definite'' as to the' nature of the new building has yet been decided upon, but it is highly probable that it will have its exterior walls in brick..
