BADLY ABUSED PRIVILEGE.
CONSUMERS AND THE FLAT RATE
The advisability of raising the borough flat rate was mentioned by fcr. O. H. Armstrong at last night's' metet 4 ing of. the Borough Council. At the present time he considered that the privilege of the flat rate was being badly: abused by a number of consumers of electric light.
A councillor remarked that the flat rate privilege on the water was also badly abused. 1
Mayor moved tha<£ the Waterw<flks and Electric Lighting Committee go into the j&ftjdstjon of 1 increasing the flat rate and .report ,-fulfy! at the next meeting of ! the* Council.
