MARKET REPORT, The Franklin Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At our weekly sale, in spite of the unfavourable weather, we had a good attendance. Pigs came in numbers short of requirements. Good, weaners 21s to o9s, stores and sows in pig hard to quit. In poultry we had heavy entries. Aged hens 2s to 2s 6d, good quality hens 3s to ss, roosters aged and poor 2s 6d to 3s, good roosters 4s to 5s 3d. ducks 3s 6d to ss, potatoes, local 8s 3d cwt; swedes, carrots, cabbage and other vegetables in good supply with keen demand. Apples 6s 6d to 7s bushel cases (cookers). Iron Age planter fetched £l6. Furniture .and sundries fetched usual prizes.
