INTERESTING FIGURES. - - i At Tuesday's meeting of the Manukau County Council the Auckland Hospital Board, intimated that the levy made on the county for the erw suing year for hospital and charitable aid amounted to £3297 13s IQdo Last year the levy was £3OBB 7s lids therefore the increase this year is £209 5s lid.
Regarding other local bodies in this district alone there are also increases. The levy on the Franklin County is £4792 5s 7d y an increase of £315;. Manurewa Town Board £2Ol, increase £57; Papakura Town Board £270, increase £25; Papatoetoe Town Board £304, increase £36; Pukekohe Borough Council £474, increase £3B; Tamaka West £890; increase £327; Tuakau Town Board £134, increase £l3; Waiuku Town Board £l6B, increase £l4The total amount allocated to be paid by local authorities is £61,667 5s 9d.
The amounts are due on or before July 1 next, but for the convenience of local bodies the amounts allocated to them will be accepted by the Hospital Board in four quarterly instalments, payable on July 1, September 1, December L 1921, and March I*, 1922.
