TAMAKI DAIRY FARMERS.

STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS. SUBMITTED TO SUPPLIERS. There was a good attendance of suppliers of the East Tamaki cheese factory at a meeting on Thursday, June 2, convened by the panagement of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., and held in the East Tamaki Hali. By the unanimous consent of the meeting Mr .Dynes Fulton, a director of the company, was appointed chairman to watch proceedings.

Mr A. J. Sinclair, assistant* manage!’, submitted a financial report dealing with the operations of the factory and matters connected with the administration since its inception. He went fully into the questions of depreciation, changes of administration, surplus accounts, shares and other matter's. In order to come to a clear and definite understanding he asked that any suppliers who were still dissatisfied or had doubt upon any points, would send their local committees accompanied by a qualified accountant chosen by themselves, to the head office at Hamilton. There the books of the company would bo placed at the disposal of the delegates.

It was gratifying to suppliers to have details submitted in the clear and lucid manner which is so characteristic of Mr Sinclair’s explanations, but several complained that the matters had been delayed for so long and had therefore given rise to a lack of confidence in the company which-now appeared to be unfounded. The chairman made an appeal to suppliers to remain steadfast and loyal to the company, since it was only through many years of patient and laborious effort that the company had gained its record of being the largest cooperative dairy company in the world. The advantages of. amalgamation were now beginning to be recognised and it behoved all those who were at present connected with the company to work in the common interests and to pull together to gain greater results in the future.
