Prior to the commencement of the ordinary business at the Tuakau Town Board’s meeting on Tuesday, a vote of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr Patrick Geraghty was carried in silence, members standing. The chairman, Mr Dynes Fulton, in referring to the deceased, mentioned that. Tuakau has sustained a severe loss. For upwards of 50 years Mr Geraghty had resided in Tuakau, and his death removed what might be termed a very old landmark. They would miss his familiar form in Tuakau. The clerk was instructed to convey the message of sympathy.
