MANUKAU COUNTY REVALUATIONS.
SUBSTANTIAL INCREASES. A statement showing the valuations of the respective ridings in the Marukau County at last valuation, and the figures of the recent revaluations, was placed before members at the annual meeting on Wednesday by the clerk (Mr Edgar Ashcroft). With the exception of the Wairoa riding, which was valued in 1918, the remainder show substantial increases. The figures are as follows :—Mangere, 1912, £609,736 : 1921, £1,0§3,224, Pakuranga, 191314, £251,020; 1921, £303,250." In addition there arc the Ilowick Road Board, £109,500, and Papavoa Road Board, £69,830 ; grand total, £482.580. Papakura, 1914, £557,905; 1921 £569,330. As far as Papakura riding' is concerned the area has been reduced, and added on to the Papatoeloe riding,, which figures- are: 1914. £503,675 (which included a portion of 1 1 let; Turanga, 1912, £164,250; 1921, £1,974,313 —£593,268 being the valuation of the East Tamaki Road District. Turanga, 1912, £164,250; 1921, £197,825. Wairoa, 1918, £579,353; 192.1, (not valued). The total valuation of the County is £3,986,625..
