CHAMPION PAIRS. WON BY GRIBBLE BROS. The Pukekohe Bowling Club’s champion pairs tournament concluded on Saturday, when Gribble Bros. (Stan and Horace), winners of A section, defeated Brown and Perkins, winners of B section. SEALED HANDICAPS. The sealed handicap pairs games are almost completed. CLOSE OF SEASON. It is'expected that the season will close on Saturday next, when a match, Trades v Farmers, will eventuate. GROUND IMPROVEMENTS. Considerable improvements are taking place at the local club’s grounds. Some time ago the club acquired additional property with the object of constructing another playing area. The levelling of this ground is in progress, while a gang of men are engaged removing the present pavilion.
