LADY JELLICOE WITH THE HOUNDS.
Lady Jellicoe is becoming an enthusiastic follower of the Pji.kuranga hounds. Several times prior to her tour of the north with the GovernorGeneral she, took pai*t in the runs. On Tuesday last she was out at Pakuranga again, and although the ground was rather hard from the lack of rain, good sport was obtained. Mr H. Bullock Webster, who has been Master for eight years and stiliacts in that capacity, expressed the opinion that the hounds were looking well and were very keen. The pack comprised thirty couples, which have been improved by careful breeding and the constant attention of the Master. In short, everything augured well for a bright season, the opening of which will take place next Tuesday. Most of the farmers ax-e giving their full suppoi-t to the club.
