MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
THE NOMINATIONS. In connection with the municipal election which takes place on Wednesday, April 27, nominations closed yesterday. For the Mayoralty the following have been nominated; — C. K. Lawrie, sitting Mayor. H. G. R. Mason, ex-Mayor. J. Routly. For the eight seats on the Council sixteen nominations have been received, including the retiring Council. Those nominated are:—Messrs A. P. Daysh, D. R. Hamilton, R. Bilkey, J. H. Keith, J. Patterson, G. H. Armstrong, F. J. Morrow, R. H. McGough, V. S. Roberts R. G. B. Fear, J. G. Ward, W. S. Russell, Thos Brownlee, J. W. Johns, Jas, Kennedy and R. Higginson. i
