MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The executive of the Franklin A. a; d F. Society met on Friday night, the p). or-.'dent, Mr. J. M. Massey, presiding ever an attendance of 25 ir,embers. The dates for the next A. and P. Autumn Show were fixed for February 24 and 25 1922. The secretary * j was irtrue ted to acquaint neighbour A. and P. Societies of this fact. The president reported that a large tvorkira bee had attended to the t-vellh a of the floors in the Winter show sheds. It was necessary that due floors should be rolled and this v.as left in the hands of the secretary to arrange. The question of erecting a dining room at the show grounds was brought up by Mr Jas. Roulston. He pointed out the advantages of such i room and stated that a committee •f ladie.-, would probably be assisting the afternoon tea at the forth-
Wiriter Show and the Society could not expect them to work underadverse conditions. The room was 'desirable but then again they had to look at the matter from a financial point of view. The president agreed that something in the desired direction was imperative and on his motion, seconded by Mr C. K. Lawrie, the matter was referred to the Winter Show Commit tee with power to act. It was decided to ask Mr F. J. A. tlunro, headmaster of the Technical School ito judge the school gardens competition held in connection with the recent Autumn Show. Accounts amounting to £SO 1 l.s 2d were submitted and passed for payment.
