Mr and Mrs John J. Coady, accompanied by Miss Vera McAlpine left Pukekohe on Wednesday for Auckland, where they caught the steamer Riverina for Sydney. The party will tour Australia, returning to Pukekohe in about itwo months' time.

The Minister of Labour intimated at yesterday’s meeting of the Franklin County Council that he had appointed Wednesday as the statutory half-holiday for the County of Franklin.
At yesterday’s meeting of the Franklin County Council, the Hoard of Trade forwarded copy of a circular notifying the suspension of the Board of Trade regulations re building permits.
Tn view of the fact that properties in the Franklin County have been revalued, and the possibility of a number of objectors, and the sitting of an assessment Court, Mr Dynes Fulton, of Tuakau s was appointed to act as the Council’s assessor, at yesterday’s meeting of the Franklin County Counci 1 .
