EAST STREET OVERHEAD BRIDGE

INQUIRIES BEING MADE. It will be recollected that at last meeting of the Borough Council the clerk was instructed to write tb,e Hon W. F. Massey, Prime Minister,, asking whether anything further had been done in regard to the erection of a new overhead bridge at East Street to connect the end of King Street with the railway approach to the station.

At Wednesday night’s meeting of the Borough Council, in reply tnereto, Mr Massey intimated that he was having inquiries made into the matter and would further reply at a later date.

It was decided to again write Mr Massey asking him to expedite the matter.
