BUCKLAND V. MAUKU. The Buckland Lawn Tennis Club visited, the Mauku courts on Saturday, April 2, and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent, resulting in a win for the visitors. Afternoon tea was daintily served by the ladies. Following are the scores, Buckland mentioned first: — Gent.’s Doubles. —Leighton and W. Bilkey beat Gillon and Ward, 7 —3; L. Bilkey and Mathews, beat Hill and Hogwood, 7—3; Wily and Neal beat Wilson and Fellows, 7—3. Ladies’ Doubles. —Mrs. Bilkey and Miss Leighton beat Mrs Zinzan and Miss Wright, 7—4; Miss Allan and, Mrs Greenway beat Mrs Hill and Miss Zinzan, 7—4. Combined Doubles.—Mrs. Bilkey and Leighton lost to Mrs Zinzan and Gillon, 5—7; Miss Leighton and W. Bilkey beat Miss Wright and Ward, 7—4; Miss Allan and L. Bilkey beat Mrs. Hill and Hill, 7—3; Mrs. Greenway and Mathews beat Miss Zinzan and Hogwood, 7—4; Miss Horne and Wily last to Miss Moor and Wilson, 6 —7; Miss Wily and Neal lost to Miss Whitehead and Fellows,. 7—3.
