OBITUARY.
MRS. R. B. CARPENTER. Word has been receeived by cable of the death in of Mrs R. B. Carpenter, widow ox the kite R. B. Carpentier, who fm* a number- of shears was farming at Mauku. A brother-in-law of deceased is a bank official in Napier, and was for a time employed in the Bank of New Zealand at Pukekohe.
