PAERATA CREEK.
PETITION PREPARED. In connection with the proposed, rating area to raise a loan to effect a drainage -scheme, involving the Paerata clerk, the clerk of the Franklin County Council (Mr. Alan P. Day) reported at last meeting that the petition for the rating area , was now prepared, and as soon as the signatures were obtained the proposal would be gazetted.j
