CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

MEETING LAST MONDAY. Mr. Webster presided over a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce last Monday evening. Sewerage. Railway Watters. The General Manager of Railways wrote stating that the working of the railways would not permit of attaching a passenger car on the goods train which leaves Mercer at 7.15 a.m.. Railway Bridge. Some little time ago the Chamber wrote to the Prime Minister {Hon. W. F. Massey) in reference to the alterations to the railway bridge on East Street, Pukekohe. The Prime Minister replied tO the Chamber, stating that ne was obtaining a report from the officers concerning the Chamber’s suggestions and would Write again as soon as he ascertained the position.
