PUKEKOHE EAST CEMETERY.

(To the Editor). Sir,—ln the “Times” report of the last meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council, I notice his Worship the Mayor referred to the dirty state of our local graveyard. In Pukekohe, Mr Mayor, you just have to instruct the care-taker to clear)} up the Cemetery when it is necessary. You do not have to take off your coat and make one of a working bee to do the job, such as the local residents here have to do every year. There are no funds for employing a caretaker. Certainly the place is not as clean and tidy at the present time as it might be, but by all reports, Mr Mayor, yours is just as bad.—l am, etc., PUKEKOHE EAST RESIDENT. February, 19th, 1921.
